I can't say I love cooking, but over the years, it's become a way to show love and gratitude for the people I care about.
When cooking, I take so much care because it warms me up from the inside when my family enjoys the meals I prepare. I think it's special to have warm meals waiting for you; the fragrant smell in the kitchen is inviting and signals that you are "home" right where you belong, no matter how hard your day has been.
It's also empowering to know that you can whip up a warm and healthy meal right in the comfort of your own homeCheck out my full recipe on a simple Korean Beef + Rice Plate It doesn’t take much planning, but definitely tastes like an at home meal.
In a large mixing bowl, combine beef, pork, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, and season with salt and pepper, and mix everything well with your hand.
Take a portion and form into a patty, the patty should be about the palm size.
Heat skillet over medium heat, add some oil, and drop the patties to sear the outside, about 2-3 minutes per side. Then reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for about 4 minutes on each side.
Serve with a side of steamed broccoli or any vegetables you can steam and drizzle A1 sauce with a side of rice and enjoy!!
