When cooking, I take so much care because it warms me up from the inside when my family enjoys the meals I prepare. I think it’s special to have warm meals waiting for you; the fragrant smell in the kitchen is inviting and signals that you are “home” right where you belong, no matter how hard your day has been.
Hanbagu Steak
Ingredients
- 2/3 lb ground beef
- 2/3 lb ground pork
- 1 small onion minced
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup panko crumbs
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine beef, pork, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, and season with salt and pepper, and mix everything well with your hand.
- Take a portion and form into a patty, the patty should be about the palm size.
- Heat skillet over medium heat, add some oil, and drop the patties to sear the outside, about 2-3 minutes per side. Then reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for about 4 minutes on each side.
- Serve with a side of steamed broccoli or any vegetables you can steam and drizzle A1 sauce with a side of rice and enjoy!!
